    Position: Manager / Senior Manager – Supply Chain Management
    Location: Corporate Office, Hyderabad
    Reports To: Chief Executive Officer
    Business Unit: Cattle Feed Division

     

    Role Overview

    This role is accountable for driving an end-to-end Supply Chain strategy and planning process that ensures collaborative demand planning, optimal inventory, production scheduling, product availability, service excellence from suppliers to customers, and cost efficiency across the Cattle Feed business. The incumbent will lead forecast accuracy, demand planning, inventory optimization, transportation management, and timely delivery to all markets. The position requires a decisive, execution-focused leader who can collaborate across functions and deliver high operational reliability to support business growth and customer satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities

    Demand Planning & Forecast Alignment
    • Lead the monthly and weekly demand planning cycle with Sales, Marketing and using statistical models, market trends and regional sales inputs.
    • Build accurate forecasts to support uninterrupted market supply and collaborate with commercial, marketing and finance to align forecast with business goals
    • Continuously improve forecast accuracy through data analysis, trend tracking, and market intelligence with continuous improvements
    Production Planning & Supply Coordination
    • Develop Master Production Schedules (MPS) and Material Requirements Plans (MRP) to meet demand while optimising inventory.
    • Coordinate with Procurement, Production and Logistics to ensure timely material availability and production efficiency.
    Inventory Management & Optimisation
    • Maintain optimal RM, PM & FG inventory levels across plants and depots including safety stocks and cycle stocks.
    • Prevent stock-outs, ageing stock, and operational bottlenecks.
    • Reduce excess stock and improve inventory turnover.
    Warehouse, Transportation & Logistics Control
    • Internal and external warehouse requirements as per dynamic business goals
    • Vendor identification, selection
    • Develop daily/weekly dispatch plans to ensure timely deliveries to distributors, dealers, and key accounts.
    • Manage transporters, negotiate freight, and ensure high vehicle reliability.
    • Monitor vehicle movement, transit time performance, and adherence to delivery SLAs.
    • Drive route optimization, load planning, and cost efficiency initiatives.
    Customer Delivery Performance
    • Achieve 100% On-Time Delivery (OTD) through proactive planning and issue resolution.
    • Address customer complaints, delivery failures, and shortages with urgency and accountability.
    • Strengthen coordination with Sales to ensure service excellence in all markets.
    Operational Governance & Compliance
    • Oversee warehousing operations, loading/unloading activities, and dispatch documentation.
    • Ensure compliance with internal SOPs, safety norms, and audit guidelines.
    • Support digital transformation initiatives (SAP, TMS, WMS) for improved visibility and tracking.
    Cost, Efficiency & Continuous Improvement
    • Monitor supply chain costs and drive structured cost-optimization programs.
    • Improve operational KPIs including vehicle turnaround time, transit performance, and inventory turnover.
    • Implement best practices, reduce operational leakages, and strengthen process discipline.
    Team Management and Cross-Functional Leadership
    • High performing team building and management
    • Fostering culture of accountability, innovation and continuous improvement
    • Act as the central coordination point between Sales, Production, Plant Logistics, and Finance.
    • Provide monthly performance dashboards to the CEO with key insights and action plans.
    • Lead problem-solving initiatives and drive accountability across the supply chain ecosystem.
    IBP & S&OP
    • Facilitate IBP and Lead S&OP to align goals with cross functional teams
    • Work as per PESTEL analysis, demand/supply scenarios and risk mitigation plans

    Professional Competencies

    • Strong expertise in demand planning, logistics, and inventory management.
    • Proven experience in vendor/transport management and contract handling.
    • Ability to analyze data, interpret trends, and take fast, informed decisions.
    • High execution discipline with a “get-it-done” operational leadership style.
    • Preferred exposure to Cattle Feed / Agri Input / FMCG manufacturing supply chains. 

    Education & Experience

    • Graduate in any discipline; MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain/Operations preferred.
    • 12-15 years of experience in Supply Chain or Logistics Management.
    • Experience in handling multi-location dispatches and high-volume operations is essential.
